+1 I'm on SWA at least four times a year, often more, and haven't run into problems.

And anyway if people *are* saving seats, there will be plenty of good seats left if you've paid for early boarding.

I have flown SW plenty and much prefer United.  I’m equal distance from BWI and Dulles.  Obviously, if you live next to BWI, you’re not going to trek to Dulles, a United hub, just to fly UA- unless it’s for an international flight.  BWI has United flights, but only to their hubs and not nearly the choices of SW.

All things being equal, I think United is better all around.  As others have said, I don’t like checking in for my place in line and much prefer an assigned seat.[/quote]
