Me too.  Flying isn’t fun, no matter the airline.  SW, IMHO, is the worst.  I don’t want to have to remember to call/text for my boarding space.  I much prefer an assigned seat.  No matter when I board, my seat will be there and there is no need to get in a cattle line and rush the gate.  United is far from perfect, but assigned seats, Economy Plus and Biz upgrades, a global network, and even full cans of drinks, make it way better than SW.  Also, like SW, I get free checked bags.[/quote]

According to WSJ, SW is considering moving to assigned seating.

I do like that you will always fly on a larger aircraft (so no RJs with zero overhead bin space), you can check two bags for free and no change fees (and your credit is good forever).

Like others, our family is happy to disperse on a flight to pick a window or aisle seat or whatever.

If SW moved to assigned seating that would be great.[/quote]
