It doesn't matter if Biden had a cold during the debate. All that matters is how he came across. Nixon was sick during his televised debate with JFK, and probably because of it, lost the election (just barely though).
The average American voters have no understanding of Politics 101. Perception is everything; reality matters sometimes. Maybe Biden is fit to serve until 2029.. maybe not but the perception too many swing voters have is clear and they perceive him to be unfit as it is now. Hopefully they perceive Trump as equally unfit so that Biden still has a fighting chance. It sure would be great if Biden got the out of the way so we wouldn't have to worry about a loss to Trump in November.
Well he came across strong tonight when he went after SCOTUS and Trump. I guess "perception" is supposed to mean that we throw away 99% of public appearances where he was fine and only cling to the handful of instances where he didn't do well.
I wish you were right but I don't think a 5 minute prepared speech will erase what the swing voters saw last week. You'd have to think the swing voters were all idiots to make such an assumption and I don't think that is the case. I actually think swing voters are our only hope at returning to a normalcy in politics that leads us back to electing presidents that belong in office.
Like who, Dementia Don? Or RFK Jr the anti-vax conspiracy theorist who literally had a parasitic worm eat part of his brain and then die and rot inside his head? Come on, man.
