This never would have happened without the Biden Administration pushing. Hamas has killed thousands of people to prevent his from happening. [twitter]https://twitter.com/OrenKessler/status/1785018941615604063[/twitter]
Er, Saudi Arabia was going to do that last September. Then they said they were still interested in late October but they weren't sure when exactly. I guess they've given up waiting for Israel to calm down and are going to go ahead anyway, despite the current events. Seems reasonable, tbh. Waiting for peace in the Middle East will mean waiting forever.
So you're not going to blare sirens at the Saudi embassy and demand they divest from Israel?
This is not about a vote of confidence for Israel or any such nonsense. Saudis want a more sophisticated type of weaponry than they are currently allowed to buy from the US. The price is being allowed to buy bigger toys is to say sorry to the playground bully. Another thing worth remembering that the decision to normalize relations with Israel by the Gulf dictatorships is, well, dictatorial. If they were democracies, the democratic vote in their countries would be to spit in the direction of Israel until their body fluids run dry. This decision is against a popular sentiment in every Arab country.
