I'm from California and literally had never heard of UVA before moving to the East Coast for college in 2000.

No one out west is considering UVA, unless you have some sort of familial ties to the DMV area or the school itself. [/quote]

No. 68 Californians in the freshman class. 276 total undergraduates. 560 including graduate, law, med etc.
