Yes this is ridiculous.  I’m from a college town in the middle of the country and I knew about all of these schools when I was in high school 30 years ago.  In fact I knew people who applied and attended UCSD and I also knew people who attended UVA. I had even heard of UC Davis and knew a little about it.  [/quote]
