I would agree with you if they were a regular family with regular jobs. But celebrities are barely around anyway, they were probably all rarely together. If it was long planned and amicable then they will probably make it a pleasant experience and life for the kids will only be like 20% different vs. if they had stayed married. (And for some PPs - yes grown up kids still do visit and rely on their parents and like to display their family for special occasions like graduations and weddings. They are not “launched” not gone forever)[/quote]
