You’re joking I hope? Your brother’s MIL and MILLIONS of other women did the exact same. Are you completely unaware of how things were pre 1970? This was the norm for women her age and for women younger as well.  I am sure she did many many things in her day-to-day life that you’re not privy to. [/quote]

She has only two kids. My mom had four kids, a widow, forced back to work full time.

My mom would be hosting thanksgiving, Xmas while raising four kids running a house while working full time. My mom used to say I have no clue what that lady does all day. I still don’t, she is still married but they moved to a condo for “less work” 25 years ago. She goes to supermarket once a week. Her husband in retirement was on condo board for a bit, did projects, goes to church on Sunday. But she did not join him as “too busy”. So lazy is she that they bought a place walking distance to Catholic Church and now that he is pushing 90 he can walk if she has car. Never had a pet or a plant. I visited then by chance once as in that area and was not even offered a drink of water. Literally last has spent her life doing nothing  [/quote]
