Lol- a piece of what, exactly? I highly doubt he was sitting on a fortune or able to work under the table in his business.  His stepson may have qualified for some benefits due to his disability. Or, perhaps Rex had the family on a tight budget and they traded food stamp recipients cash for food stamps (some FS recipients sell the FS for less than their value in exchange for cash (for example they will sell $40 in FS for $20 cash).[/quote]
