I'm older than Jon Hamm by about 1-2 yrs. I never found him attractive. John Slattery I found attractive in Mad Men and maybe Christina Hendricks but not Jon Hamm. No thanks. He looks physically kind of stiff. [/quote]

His character on 30 rock was great! But yes, tale as old as time. Lacked the marriage chip, but still able to change his mind, get married and have kids in his fifties. The luxury of being a man! I like his ex Jennifer Westfeldt. she seems smart and witty and I hope she didn’t compromise too much to stay with hamm for all those years- maybe she didn’t care to be married (to an alcoholic) and having kids wasn’t her number one priority. But it would be sad if she did want those things and missed out wasting her time on someone who wasn’t ready to grow up or wasn’t able get over his issues at the time.  [/quote]

Absolutely, but women need to take full responsibility for staying in these kinds of relationships if they really want something else. How could she mother a child when she had to mother her messed-up partner? I hope it turns out well for Jennifer W, whatever she's looking for. The reality is Jon Hamm can cycle through women and pull an Al Pacino in his 80s. Harder for women to be single after 50. I do think she's clever and talented, and a catch. Hope she finds her person.
