I really need women to stop settling for an old, paunchy, brakes beaten off version of a man in return for a buck (that he’ll fight you in court over). She’s going to end up playing nursemaid to a decrepit shell of an alcoholic with erectile dysfunction and a failing liver. I dated a 37 year old when I was 23 and dumped him when he turned 40 and needed w c*ck ring to get it up. He thought he deserved someone fresh and young, so why didn’t I deserve that too? I married a man only 2 years older than me in the prime of his life.
Or maybe younger women should just not gold dig. Can't resist those millions, the big house, the big diamond ring, and a nice car though can they!
Oh come on, the man is still gorgeous.
This. I would like to see what all of these commenters DH’s look like. And he is only 52, not 80. So much gross ageism by a bunch of harpies who aren’t too much younger.
I'm older than Jon Hamm by about 1-2 yrs. I never found him attractive. John Slattery I found attractive in Mad Men and maybe Christina Hendricks but not Jon Hamm. No thanks. He looks physically kind of stiff.
Many women would disagree with you. He has classic leading man good looks.
Agree - he's a classic leading man. Love him - he's hot, funny and doesn't take himself too seriously. Wishing them all the best!
He is a cartoon leading man - like Superman with matching hair. He also takes himself very, very seriously. He wept when he got an award after the show ended. Wept like a man baby.
NP. Sorry, but he’s hot. And he doesn’t seem to take himself all that seriously, at least based on his 30 Rock character 🤷♀️
His character on 30 rock was great! But yes, tale as old as time. Lacked the marriage chip, but still able to change his mind, get married and have kids in his fifties. The luxury of being a man! I like his ex Jennifer Westfeldt. she seems smart and witty and I hope she didn’t compromise too much to stay with hamm for all those years- maybe she didn’t care to be married (to an alcoholic) and having kids wasn’t her number one priority. But it would be sad if she did want those things and missed out wasting her time on someone who wasn’t ready to grow up or wasn’t able get over his issues at the time.
Absolutely, but women need to take full responsibility for staying in these kinds of relationships if they really want something else. How could she mother a child when she had to mother her messed-up partner? I hope it turns out well for Jennifer W, whatever she's looking for. The reality is Jon Hamm can cycle through women and pull an Al Pacino in his 80s. Harder for women to be single after 50. I do think she's clever and talented, and a catch. Hope she finds her person.
