FIL was mentioned, but as FIL was not the actual person going into the guest bedroom and taking not only glassware, but OP’s actual, personal property, I don’t think he’s equally responsible. He’s responsible for not telling his wife to knock it off, but MIL alone is responsible for the insane action of going into the guest room and taking OP’s own property.[/quote]
