11 pages of why boomers still can’t comprehend that some of us can do our jobs without having to sit in a cube or have small talk in the break room about sports or the weather. As long as the work is getting done, none of that matters.
The boomer bashing is getting old. Just admit that you want to work from home because it’s easier for you and enables you to slack off without fear.
PP. I'm a lawyer in private practice, so whether or not I'm being productive is easily apparent to my firm. And working from home makes me more productive. I can start my workday when my kids are out the door at 7:30, and rather than wasting an hour or so every day commuting to and from work, I can actually bill time during what would otherwise be dead time. Commuting to and from work just to sit in front of a different set of computer screens is inefficient. (though I'm actually in the office right now because I needed logistical support from my secretary and a paralegal)
