The left are those with left of center politics. Traditionally speaking those who prefer less hierarchical structures, compared to the right which prefers hierarchical structures. Going back to when those who supported the monarchy sat on the seats in the right, and those who supported more liberty/revolution sat on the left.

Most are ceding to the left by allowing for the[b] delegitimization of right wing viewpoints and sources, excluding right wingers from acceptable discourse, and taking the position that right wing views are illegitimate and makes right leaning people bad people.[/b]

The left, because many want to change the world, set the limits for acceptable discourse. The right, because they tend to value rules, over results, tend to operate within those limits.

The only people deligitimizing right wing perspectives are the testimony and secret communitications from people on the right, who but their own words, admit that their programming is performative and not meant to be inforamtional at all.

And when you say "delegitimizing" are you saying there is a role in our society for the perspective that white nationalism rhetoric should not be held accountable, that racism should not be held accountable etc? Because that is what you are basically arguing.

Look, I don't think every right winger is an evangelical racist wingnut, but certainly you would agree that all of the racist white nationalist evangelical wing nuts are republicans, right? So other than "because we need their votes to have any power" why would any self respecting traditional conservative want to be in the same tent with these people?[/quote]
