Why should they have capitulated to false accusations?  No.  Kavanaugh was an excellent choice and picking someone else would have suggested that he was somehow guilty of these allegations.  Which he wasn't.  The Democrats tried and failed to intimidate.  [/quote]

Kavanaugh was [i]not[/i] an excellent choice.  There are dozens and dozens of other judges who would have been excellent in his place.  He was installed because he is a member of the Federalist Society.

Also, it's a bold statement to call the accusations "false" given that while they weren't definitively proven, they also weren't actually ever [img]disproven.[/img]  You lack sufficient facts to call it "false accusations."  Meanwhile, tens of millions of Americans believe Ford over Kavanaugh and found her to be more credible and believable than they found Kavanaugh to be.  Also, Kavanaugh's behavior, like a toddler being told it's time to leave the playground, was disgraceful, unprofessional and unbecoming - and that [i]IS[/i] a fact.[/quote]
