Bullis will never become the level of Good Counsel football but they are getting good very quickly. the new football coach is recruiting very had and I do think the administration is lowering the standards on a case by case situation.
In a lot of cases. No SSAT required and a B average as long as you are one of the wanted athletes.
Why are the Bullis parents tolerating this?
Seeing as Bullis starts in 3rd grade, is coed, and applications were up 20% this year, there's no way they are filling the school with "rejects.". While some athletes are recent transfers, many have attended Bullis since 3rd grade. Bullis has been dominant this year in football, basketball, lacrosse, golf, girls tennis, girls soccer--many of those scholar athletes are headed to excellent schools. BTW, great job Bullis on the "superior" ranking at the Maryland State Band competition! Is there ANYTHING this school doesn't do well? This quote says why. Because they really want to win at sports.
