How do you know you’ve been personally impacted by a driver who had been smoking weed? Did you get into an accident and the cops tested him/ her? (No such test really exists so probably not.) Did you see the empty bag of edibles in their car and assume they had consumed some earlier? Did you smell it out your window? If someone is driving erratically, there’s a significantly higher chance that it’s a primarily alcohol impaired driver.

Also, where are all of you hanging out to be bombarded by the smell all the time? I might walk through pockets of weed smell once every couple of days for 5 seconds or less when I’m downtown. And I have terrible asthma and still manage to survive those few seconds- impressive, I know! I encounter irresponsible dog owners not picking up dog poop far more frequently, which is much much smellier and more annoying. “Smell” is not a real argument here. [/quote]
