This is all why I defected from the left. Am I alarmed about some of what happened in the Trump administration and among some Trump followers? Yes. But I like America and respect and believe in the ideals, while the left has spent several years putting forth an argument that the US is inherently evil and none of our issues can be fixed.  So, while they claim the right is a threat to democracy, the left says you are a Nazi if you fly our flag.  I mean, which one is it? I dont believe they want to preserve a nation they are openly contempuous of, that they loudly scorn.  This is not the left of the 90s, when democrats flew flags, honored police, and respected the poor and working class.  [/quote]
