Many years ago, I sought out a nutritionist when I gained a few pounds, after having lost a significant amount of weight. She told me to force myself to eat breakfast every day, and to force myself to eat more carbs — “like bagels”, even though I didn’t like bread. By today’s standards, I had a decent diet, an eating pattern close to intermittent fasting, and probably should have been counseled to pay more attention to portion sizes. Unfortunately it took me years to realize that the expert advice that I paid for was completely wrong for my body.[/quote]
