DP that is stupid. The republicans will work just as hard to stop assault weapons bans, red flags laws or any common sense gun safety laws as a total ban on all weapons. Why waste the time and energy on 1/2 measures when the full ban will require the same lift?[/quote]

Geezus, because a "ban on guns" won't happen, ever.  The Assault Weapons Ban, which ran from 1994-2005, did a lot of good.  Mass shootings skyrocketed after it "sunsetted."  And here we are.[/quote]

It takes time.   A long and careful strategy.  Everything is important....voting rights,  resist the "voting integrity" onslaught at all levels, court appointments, and money money money money money.

Lol sure it has been 30 years and the only laws that get past are ones that make it easier to buy guns anonymously. Also the goal of the pro life is a total ban on abortions not some 1/2 a$$ measures. If the democrats were talking about a total ban the republicans would quickly agree to anything less. [/quote]
