Yes, it is very common to wear wigs as head coverings especially if you interact with the secular world. Only a few groups forbid wigs. Many forbid lace fronts which look too natural.[/quote]

Oj1. A new type of wig (well new to the orthodox community) that looks extremely natural. I'm not sure exactly what it is but you can usually tell when someone is wearing a wig, but not if they're wearing a lace front[/quote]

The hair is sewn to lace so the lace provides an invisible hairline. That’s why it looks so natural. Many women wear these that aren’t even Jewish. You can even part the hair and it looks like a real scalp. [/quote]
