Because many of us got covid, it wasn’t a big deal, and we’re moving on with our lives. The fear is gone. I’m vaccinated and boosted, and had covid less than 60 days ago. I’m done, and don’t see any point in continued masking to do what, exactly? Protect people who can’t be bothered to vaccinate themselves?

People at risk for serious illness have had a year to get vaccinated. I’m done worrying about people who aren’t worried about themselves.

Many who also got Covid were unable to move in with their lives and many still are still dying from Covid.

Your attitude has been called out as selfish and this exemplifies that point. There are people who likely caught and died from Covid thanks to this attitude and unwillingness to wear masks or get vaccinated. [/quote]

You’re right. I don’t care about the health decisions others make for themselves. I think you folks who moralize this whole thing are crazy. Every one of you has spread bacteria and viruses your entire lives. You have no way of knowing if your germs led to someone’s death or suffering. But it’s obviously not practical to sustain this kind of hyper vigilance forever. So people assess risk and make their own choices as they need to. Just because you over-perceive risk doesn’t make everyone else morally lacking. [/quote]

Yes, we know you don’t give a shit about others. You keep explaining it as if we are not aware of that fact. Regarding germs: I have always taken appropriate action to limit the spread of my own infection. I kept my kid home from school, I got a flu shot, I wash my hands before preparing food, I wear flip flops in public showers… I can keep going. You are the one acting like our personal decisions do not matter to anyone else. That is simply not true despite your desperate attempts to justify your selfish actions. It is a moral issue when masks cost you nothing but can help spare another person death or major life disruption. [/quote]

There are no desperate attempts, my PP is simply what I believe the non-mask wearing person to be. I noticed you didn’t deny any of the observations I listed and you seem to think that stating that I think of others is some inherent weakness or insult.

I honestly think you’re talking to at least 2 of us, but your original post was aimed at me. You noticed I didn’t deny your “observations”? What observations? I’ve never met you. Again, there’s nothing I can do about the stories you decide to invent in your head, and I certainly don’t owe you any explanations.
