Nothing is stopping any kid from trying to be the best lax player they can be. It takes dedication from the kid the parents and finances that can pay for travel, coaching, etc. Another issue why lacrosse hasn't taken off, there's no pot of money at the end of the rainbow, unlike football, baseball and basketball. lacrosse is essentially a tool to get you into highly competitive universities.
