Last time I heard it was less than 20%. Thought I heard the other day they have less than 1/2 that for the new regime. So 90% vote against surveillance testing. I think that it's overwhelming APS do not want this testing.
If Duran is smart, he'll allow winter sports to continue. Otherwise he won't have any test data for HS students in Arlington, since nobody is willing to give it to him.
Or, if he’s smart, he will resume sports in another week or two after the peak.
2 weeks to slow spread! Heard that one before. Meanwhile, gyms will be open, restaurants will be open, bars will be open. Arlington community centers will continue to be open, where much higher risk adults can play sports maskless. These people who want to put all the burden on our children are sick!
At this point, it's a mental illness. Severe hypochondria and really going into anti-vaxxerism because, even though you know they're all triple vaxxed, they don't think vaccines work.
I'm not an antivaxer because I vax my kids and acknowledge they could still get a break through case. The vaccine still protects them from serious disease. Its called sense of community and acknowledging personal responsibility. You stick you head in the sand and say "la la la la la I'm helpless in the face of omicron." My kids are vaxxed. They're getting tested. If they're asymptomatic they'll miss a few days of school. Its not the end of their education. You are sending your kids to school with zero regard for who they may infect, who they take that home to, and how that plays out. Selfish adults failing to take reasonable precautions in restaurants, bars, gyms, anywhere is a poor excuse for you to do the same.
