It is up to your in-laws to decide if they want indoor guests. If they've decided that their children and grandchildren are worth the calculated risk, then that's their choice.

Your husband's inlaws are right that you guys are squatting and taking control if the household. My sibling lives with my parents but he doesn't decide who they bring into the home. We respect work/study times, but also aren't made unwelcome by sibling. You're crossing the line. [/quote]
