Honestly, it's not the worst idea for an AAU program to encourage their coaches to moonlight with FCYBL teams to identify and recruit players for their AAU programs. My older daughter played for 3 years with an "out of zip" coach, who she eventually played AAU for. Win-Win.[/quote] FCYBL teams rarely have a hard time finding coach volunteers. Leagues usually have many candidates for each coaching spot...because it guarantees your kid a place on the team, and its hard to make a team with 50 boys competing for one slot. [/quote]
