OP, what are you spending the child support money on?  If you are getting child support and Dad pays ALL the expenses it sounds like this child is an income check.

And, no, I've never deferred to Dad, even when it comes to step kids.  If they need it and they are in my home I buy it.

You are completely unreasonable to demand $3000 a year in shopping PLUS, everything else on top of child support.  You need to grow up, get a job and support YOUR daughter.  And, Dad has every right to say no and not to do it just because YOU demand it.  Your kid can get a $40-50 coat and be just as warm.

We have kids visit every summer and I take them shopping.  I get them a full wardrobe for back to school and don't spend anything like you are saying.  We shop sale and clearances and are careful with what we spend.  I truly hope you are not for real.

Your daughter will be a really messed up adult.[/quote]
