NP here. I’ll answer. This attitude reminds me of my parents generation. I can hear my mom talking about the dangers of weed and I don’t think PP can imagine any normal person partaking in edibles or smoking. It just bows their mind. Gonna assume you are a young person? Or an old person who took Nancy Reagan seriously. For real I do not know who I am talking to. It's like afrer school specials I watched in the 80s.

If you have serious addiction problems in your family, it is a great idea to never partake. You have a risk factor, and maybe not far to fall. It is good to be cautious. But it's not cool to judge other people who make other choices.

Yes, probably every drug addict first drank alcohol, then tried pot. True story!

The part you are missing is that many  many people stopped at drinking. Many ended with pot. Some tried LSD, cocaine. Some kept doing and some did not. Crack. Heroin, meth. NOW we might be in a sad story. But it's not like, oh, I tried pot and now suddenly I am I meth head. No way. Plenty of other factors in there.

People can enjoy alcohol, weed  and maybe some of the others recreationally and not be losers or addicts. Yes it is a risk.[/quote]
