If JLo posted anonymously on DCUM and asked about whether she should get back with an old flame, and described everything, what would DCUM say?
Is her net worth still the same? I’d say go right ahead. The super-rich don’t have half the issues associated with infidelity because leaving a partner doesn’t make them insolvent.
Well if she described her ex as a talented, and well meaning but addicted man who was divorced, fooled around with his kids nanny (regardless of whether it was before or after his separation), and had been unable to or uninterested in holding down a long term relationship, on dcum, she’d get a lot responses of “no. He sounds unstable,” or “enjoy the fling.” Even then we’d only be getting half the story, because she just bounced off a high profile four year relationship like a week before starting this one. And neither of them seem to care about seeing their kids regularly- after being away filming respective movies in other cities/countries, they are all wrapped up in in each other and jetting off to hotels and vacation homes. So, I’d consider her pretty unstable too.
Like I said earlier in this thread, JLo isn’t as maternal as Garner. She’s a self-absorbed diva who thrives on being adored. She will never be able to sustain a relationship since she’s only interested in the honeymoon phase.
That's awfully confident an assessment for someone who is actually pretty private about her family and motherhood life outside of her documentary (which she obviously controlled).
+1 I am amazed to see women on here making casually cruel assumptions about J.LO. HOW do you know she is a terrible mother? She keeps that part of her life private. Jennifer Garner is awlays bringing out her kids for PAP Walks to appeal to the minivan majority.
I don't know that JLo is a bad mother, but I do know you'd never in a million years see Jen G jetting off with a new lover while her kids are reeling from a fresh family split.
+1. This goes for both Jlo and Ben. Reeling from a new split or not, they both have fairly young kids who should be treated better than their parents jetting off with a new fling at a moments notice. Both Jlo and Bens kids deserve more stability. The assessments above are as much about Bens as they are about Jlo- they are both self absorbed and unstable, and sadly can’t put their kids first and develop relationships in healthy ways.
ITA. There's a balance to be had, but these two do seem very self-centered.
DP- Yes, and balance is something that JLo seems to be missing here given that she just broke up from a long-term relationship not too long ago. A relationship that involved families mixing together, going on vacations, spending the holidays together. Ya, celebrity or not, I think it's only reasonable to expect that someone would give it some time for the sake of the children. What makes it worse is that they live a very public life so even if she was trying to hide it from her kids, you know that their friends would hear and gossip about it.
