The point is that, during WWII, people actually understood that, despite the risks, schooling needed to continue. That woman could have decided to go into a smaller bomb shelter, rather than being in the Tube, which was a target (since everyone knew people sheltered there, en masse). [/quote] You're comparing apples-to-oranges. During the War on Terror and the Gulf War - kids were in school as well. They were not however in school with peers who spread viral contagious diseases.
