Ia the goal to "quell"? I wish Obama had helped our nation work through some of this...
+100 President Obama, show us the way
He had 8 years and didn't do crap.
He was a good President. Led us to eight years of peace and prosperity. An inspiration to many of us. What do these lunatics expect out of government? The righting of every wrong - real or perceived - from the last 400 years?
He bombed more countries than any US president since Roosevelt. He spied on journalists. He spied on you and me. He killed Americans in drone attacks who were never charged with a crime or indicted. He smuggled guns to Mexican cartels to create crime south of the border to force calls for gun bans here. He weaponized the IRS against political enemies. He left Americans to die in our embassy despite having the means to rescue them. He couldn’t grow an economy. But he looked and sounded good reading from a promoter.
Nobody cares. The world was in a better place with Obama. I think it’s funny that all of you white liberals are all about supporting Black Lives Matter until a white woman is running over protestors.
+100 This is ridiculous. Y’all claim to be an “Ally” until Karen can’t be inconvenienced driving through Georgetown. Then it is the fault of the protesters for being mowed down! And y’all are all going to protests in the suburbs, posting BLM stuff on your Facebooks, and when the subject of reparations comes up, you scatter like cockroaches! Instead, we hear things like “we need to study this” or “give the government more money” The government doesn’t need more money. You want to give the government more money so Karen can hire more of her friends and get them hooked up on the easy pay and bennies gravy train. With “Ally’s” like these, who needs enemies?
Uh, the posters complaining about the protesters blocking traffic are not liberals. Likewise the ones complaining about the $600 federal boost to unemployment -- not liberals. Why would you think people who held those opinions were liberals?
I am a liberal and I am complaining about non permitted protestors blocking traffic. Do you need a permit to protest in this city or not? If the law has changed and I can just block traffic as much as I want without a permit, then have at it. But if you still need a permit, then go get one or get out of the road. and don't tell me I can't be a liberal because I want laws followed.
+100 If you want change, you need to work within the system to effect it. In this situation, obtaining the proper protest permit is the way to go. It shows that you are serious, and willing to follow laws, as well as change them
