No one who likes their school is thrilled about redistricting, so I don't blame them.
And that’s understandable. But the alternative is continuing to whine about how overcrowded your school is when there’s a perfectly reasonable fix.
I really think that the person attempting to stir up hostility is neither a Langley nor a McLean parent.
I’ve noticed one poster who gets triggered by any suggestion that people aren’t jumping at the chance to move to Langley. She needs to calm down. Most of what’s been posted on this thread is very consistent with the feedback at the community meetings held last December.
 I’ve noticed exactly the opposite. There is one poster who continues to speak for the McLean community as a whole, insisting “we” don’t want to move to Langley. I’m in one of the neighborhoods which may be redistricted to Langley and what she keeps repeating couldn’t be further from the truth in our area. “We” - that is, my actual neighborhood - are excited about our kids possibly attending Langley. It’s been a very positive topic of conversation at bus stops and get-togethers. The bulk of the people who show up at these meetings are the ones against it. The rest of us are fine with it, so we see no need to protest.
