Well they are doing a piss poor job with that network. And it isn’t a conspiracy theory. TES attends BPAC meetings and provides project and data collection updates.
How do you improve the network? By building more protected bike lanes. (And yes, it is a conspiracy theory, unless you have copies of e-mails they sent to people saying, "Hey, everybody! Be sure to go out biking on such-and-such a day! Take off from work if you need to!")
No, you improve the network by creating connectivity. Random bike lanes don’t mean shit. Also, why isn’t there an uproar about Howard? Why is Seminary so much more important for a bike lane?
You create connectivity WITH MORE PROTECTED BIKE LANES. Without more protected bike lanes, you can't create connectivity. Why are (some) people so darn upset about Seminary?
Because the ADTs for Seminary are very high and there are nearby streets, within the network, with much lower ADTs that arent considered. And because The Seminary bike lanes dont connect to anything. The western portion (near lower income housing) was scrapped and Howard was scrapped (which connected to schools) was scrapped. The connectivity was scrapped.
