Even his cousin refers to the assailant as "a gentle giant".  Obviously the guy was a big guy who got triggered by something and, without provocation, slammed a man holding a 1 year old baby to the ground.

I think people are saying that this cop didn't suddenly just spin around from the food sample table and start shooting this family.  Something significant happened to make him draw his service weapon and fire it.  I do hope the surveillance video answers why he reacted that way.
