Dumbasses. You don’t have to worship at the Altar of Pepe to see and be affected by the chaotic management of LMVSC.
What specific chaos has affected your team/player? It just seems people here want to sling wild accusations with little substance.
Oh, ok, I owe you an explanation or I’m a “Pepette?” Yeah, sure. Did you go to the meetings, where Lula talked about how they’re going to *change everything*? Caring about the blue teams as anything more than cash would be a good start.
I think that's a real issue that's been at the club. My question is do you think that was a directive of Lula's, to not focus on the blue and white teams? Or was that on Este to establish the culture as the td? It seems like people want to blame Lula for everything and put none of the blame on the staff. Lula is coaching 2 white teams next year. Este has grabbed his friends, no matter the qualifications, and put them all on the top teams at SYC. To me, that speaks volumes as to where the issue came from.
Whoa, is this the same person who is quoted above? We've come a long way from "Pepetttes" and "wild accusations." Look, the treatment of blue and, to a lesser extent, white teams is either the result of chaotic management (i.e. not focused on a club-wide culture/philosophy) or calculated neglect. Neither is a good look. Whose responsibility it was doesn't really matter to me. And it really has nothing to do with Pepe, so why he came into this conversation I don't know. So the accusations aren't so wild. If you're in the know, could you offer some insight into the thinking behind the two "red" teams in some age groups? Because this doesn't sound like an idea based on solid soccer development, but rather on a desire to entire enrollment for certain groups of players tied to certain coaches while allowing both groups to feel special. While the rest of the kids in the age group get to follow the LMVSC directive for blue teams, i.e. gfy.
Not in the know and not the poster of the Pepette bit. Wild accusations was about the WAGS trip comment. Not sure what's going with multiple red teams. I'm sure you're correct that it may have to do with bringing in players from elsewhere. I'm going based on our experience, DD on a white team for a few years. I didn't expect the ED to be part of my child's development. I did expect the TD. We never saw him. He implemented PEP for Red teams only. Then this year, he stuck skills clinics on Fridays for white and blue teams. I'm sure the ED isn't perfect, but it just sounds to me like a lazy employees blaming the boss for their shortcomings.
I didn’t do the WAGS bit, either. And I don’t have any strong opinions about the ED. I don’t believe that the neglect of blue teams was a calculated decision, but rather just apathy. But come on, now...she didn’t fire Este, so it’s not like she found his ideas completely out of alignment with her own. And at the end of the day, responsibility is at the top. Especially with the level of control she maintains.
That's fair criticism and I would say her coaching white teams is a sign that she is trying to change things. Maybe I'm naive though. It does seem like the reorganizing going on is aimed at filling some of the gaps that were there before. She didn't fire Este but his leaving may have opened her eyes to some of the issues.
