2024 is daddyball. Kids who want to play attack won't even try out because they know the coach's sons have those positions locked up. On the other hand, knowing the 2024 coach, he probably yelled at his sons the whole time during the 90 minute drive home, so the boys paid for their privilege.
Did this team get new coaches?
No, 2024 is daddyball right now, and has been that way for several years.
Daddyball or not, the team is pretty bad. They should just play Evergreen 8x a spring.
LOL that would basically be the lacrosse special olympics.
There are many lacrosse clubs in N.VA and I would rank Cav in the top three. They are playing in the same division as VLC at '23 and '24 and are above Top Cailber, Battlelax, EKLC, VEL ect... and yes Evergreen. The Madlax teams are half MD players. I am not sure what team you kid plays for but you seem obsessed with CAV I guess your kid was cut.
Madlax, BW and VLC are far above everyone else in NOVA. Madlax used to be 50% MD, but they have very few MD players now.
Aren't ML and BW slipping quite a bit over the last few years as the older kids have graduated and more parents have chosen not to enroll due to those clubs owner's reputations? I don't know about BW but ML hasn't come close to being near the top at the Capital level and the DMV should be asking to play in the lowest levels of tournaments and leagues.
Madlax '23 and '24 are two of the best teams in the age group nationally no question about it. The '23 team is almost all the old Club Blue team and GP kids. There are a small number of N.VA players on this team. They practice at GP an not an option for western N.VA families.
