I agree with you, all of it. 
I was rolling my eyes when Rome wanted to buy the family car instead. His irresponsible attitude about trying out parenting was childish. Especially the timing when she’s going to be so extra busy. What if the heavy toll of being a parent those early infant toddler pre-k years (and beyond of course) worsen his depression? Gina will be left being essentially a single mom, for something she was never onboard with. Good for her to stay her ground. Season two better not have a storyline about Gina changing her mind.

The 9/11 flight, friend’s death storyline is so underwhelming and BM’s behavior so odd (jogging by their house to enter that house- what’s she trying to find out?). Plus BM changed her first name, she doesn’t want to be found (turns away Gary), her husband freaks out D is in the house. It all points to PJ being Jon’s child. And that D’s newborn actually was Jon’s, not Eddie’s.
