OMG I have this problem. Literally addicted to sparkling water, drinking flat water does not seem to satisfy me. It is a massive pain for sure, buying and disposing of all the bottles but the heart wants what it wants I guess. I've toyed with getting a Sodastream but that is a whole other can of worms - have to keep buying the canisters, takes up counter space, and the bottle is plastic not glass. Also I like my water super gassy and I'm not sure whether the Sodastream can make it so. In Germany they have two types of sparkling waters - regular gassy and extra gassy!
There's a glass bottle version of the Sodastream and you can make it as gassy as you want it to be. You push a button to inject gas. Push it more times for more gas.
