So did Trump pick the brokest guy on the list on purpose? “Kavanaugh’s most recent financial disclosure forms reveal assets between $15,000 and $65,000, which would put him at the bottom of the financial ranking of justices, most of whom list well over $1 million in assets. The value of residences is not subject to disclosure.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/supreme-court-nominee-brett-kavanaugh-piled-up-credit-card-debt-by-purchasing-nationals-tickets-white-house-says/2018/07/11/8e3ad7d6-8460-11e8-9e80-403a221946a7_story.html
The more shocking part of the story is he has no real assets. The guy is way underwater. Where is all his money going? Gambling? Some other vice?
This was my thought. Much more likely than spending $200,000 on Nats tickets.
Read the article linked. It is explained there.... public sector employee, daughters in private schools, wife makes a very modest income ($66,000). This is not hard, folks.
He graduated law school in 1990 and has worked since then. He was a partner at Kirkland and Ellis for a while in the 90's and 00's. They bought a $1.2 million house in 2006 so they weren't doing too badly then. Where has all his money gone?
Probably into his house. And, then the private school tuition, Nats tickets, other living expenses. Folks here are always talking about how a $300,000 salary doesn’t go far in DC.
Not much. He still owes $835K on a mortgage of $1.2M. Not a good steward of money. Maybe he should put the girls in public school.
