This is the other strand of homeschoolers that exist the “hippy” homeschoolers. Not so common on this area, but you see a lot of them in the Pacific Northwest. [/quote]

There are two families in my NoVa neighborhood who do a blend of homeschooling (first couple hours) + unschooling (remainder of the day). Six kids total. It hasn't worked out well for either family. Three of the older kids have been working toward online degrees for the past several years with little progress, and one had to drop out of NOVA because she couldn't keep up. They do odd jobs like work at the local fall festivals but they're probably going to be in big trouble when it's time to get booted off their parents' health insurance. The elementary-aged ones usually roam around the neighborhood aimlessly and tell everyone they're on "field trips". One was at our local neighborhood school for several years and his mom took offense when they were told he needed remedial help in academics and intervention for behavior issues. I feel bad for those kids because I think their parents just DGAF. [/quote]

I despise the Unschoolers.  What a bunch of dumbasses.  And of course, they abused 6 children to the point where they can't function in life and will probably be a burden on taxpayers forever.[/quote]
