+ 1.  I personally do not care if the MCPS holidays falls only on Christian and Jewish holidays.  I would like to see all the above that is bolded.   I am  an Hindu who has no expectation of getting Diwali off and don't feel slighted about my festivals not being celebrated by MCPS.  A "Happy Diwali" tweet from some official would be more than sufficient if push comes to shove.   I will take a mental health day for myself and the kids if I am inclined to celebrate any festival. SHEESH!!![/quote]
