Maya is very very popular. Especially is this area. Nina has a very simila ring to Maya, so I'm suprised your DH nixed it. I would try and convince him to go with Nina. And not to start a side discussion with this pp, but I also think Sasha is similar and less popular. [/quote]

What about Mia (pronounced Mee-ah)?  My neice (in Germany) named her daughter that and I thought it was nice.  It's somewhat similar to Maya but I haven't heard it mentioned much on this forum as being popular around here.[/quote]
