I'm disappointed that more women with advanced degrees choose not to work.
I am not disappointed when I meet a women with a bachelor degree or master degree in arts or history who chose to be a housewife. However, when I meet someone with the MBA or law degree from the IVY and who never worked, or works as a yoga teacher once a week, I feel upset. I feel like this person took someone else spot at the elite college, the college spent all that money to train her, and she does not return it back to the society. Her spot could be taking by some other lady who will be more productive member of the society.
Are you also disappointed when you meet a man with an MBA or law degree from an Ivy League institution who works at -- I don't know, llama farming, or yoga instruction, or car mechanics, or hedge fund management? Or who stays home to take care of his children? Or is it just women you are disappointed by? Also, is it ok for people (men and women) with MBAs or law degrees to become llama farmers (or stay-at-home parents) f they graduated from some lesser, non-Ivy institution? Perhaps Ivy League institutions could institute a retrospective requirement, such that, if you don't work for pay in an approved field at an approved level for at least 10 years after graduation, you have to return your degree? Signed, a feminist
