I hear you. My diamond is[b] 2 carat[/b] white colorless, set in a delicate airy natural yellow diamond paved setting.
I love, love, love my ring! 
But. Sometime after the engagement we went to dinner with a couple we socialize pretty closely with.

She is deeply disturbed and unhappy person. Another words, yeh, a bitch, you are right.
The only thing I said to her was that I am happy with my ring. And smiled back at her. I was caught off guard to be honest,
in my book engagement is one of the events to express very positive emotions. 
We have to socialize with them, her husband is my fiancé business partner. Other than that, no.
She tried to get together, but there were other unpleasant episodes, so, no.
