Imagine you see your kid getting a 120 score and knowing that the minimal acceptance score was 118. What would you do? Appeal, maybe? However the test score is not the only acceptance criteria. Teachers' recommendations, 2nd and 3rd grades report cards, MAP-D scores are also taken in consideration. If the kinds gets a fantastic score at test but has mostly 'I' in the report cards then I doubt he/she will get chosen.
