I wonder if people who put together lists like this do any research? Janney (and I suppose this is true for several others on this list) won't even be able to accommodate all the IB kids, they'll likely only going to have room for IB with sibling. Zero chance OOB.[/quote]

NP. If they are IB for Shepherd or Hyde they better list those schools, instead of those where they have no chance of getting in. If they don't, they'll get in nowhere.

I'd think posting your list on this thread is tantamount to asking for opinions. And I'd also assume that they give their full list, but maybe they don't. It just seems pointless to list schools that are absolutely impossible to get in OOB, even if the list has less than 12 and it doesn't cost anything. And what if the PP isn't aware it's impossible? Maybe pointing it out to them will prompt them to add some schools that can actually serve as backups to their IB? You'd be surprised to see how many people play the lottery without even understanding the basics of it.[/quote]

NP. You sound unhinged. I know lottery season can be stressful. It's ok. Chill and have a glass of wine. You asked a rhetorical question (like "what are you thinking?"). Fact is, you could have asked clarifying questions. Fwiw, our lottery list looks almost identical. We are at a HRCS that we LOVE but may move WOTP soon so decided to play a free lottery ticket (knowing it will be a dud). No harm, no foul.[/quote]

NP here, I don't think she sounds unhinged.  Perhaps you are reading way to much into the posters words.  Sounds like you are taking the lottery a bit seriously yourself.

I got my answer, apparently people list zero-chance schools knowingly just for the heck of it. It's ok, you do what you want. No need for that much vitriol. You got your answer pages ago. It was said at least 2-3 times that people throw in picks for the heck of it then you continued to press. What rage do you see from my responses? PS I am not the most recent "DP" poster. I think you're the only one showing rage in any posts and it's all because you can't imagine anyone playing the lottery in the controlled manner that you think everyone should subscribe to. I truly have no rage in me. I came on here to tell you to let it go and some people waste picks but who cares. Anyway, if saying "have a blessed day" is your way of showing you have control and have zero rage, I will say the same to you :)
