Wish we could just hear what is all actually happening around to people, instead of the same argument over and over and over and over and over and over ...
There have been people that post about their experiences. But Mr play by age quickly spams them until their post gets pushed off the page. They seem to be leaning to play with their grade.
Based on what clubs have stated, could be tough to find a club willing to let a kid play up an age group.
Highly doubt. Multiple clubs have specifically asked parents with Aug birthdays to make the club know if their kid is a grade up in school ASAP. Wonder why they'd want to know 🤔 that?
Really? What teams?
Arlingtons BY to SY faq covers Aug birthdays. They say grade in school can play a factor in team placement. They dont specifically ask parents to let then know if an August birthday is a grade up. (other clubs do) But its implied if grade in school is part of the decision process. https://arlingtonsoccer.com/programs/travel/age-group-transition
Ok, so no teams are harassing August born kids like you say. Nothing implied here, "School grade may be considered as part of the evaluation, but the decision to allow a player to play up is ultimately based on technical criteria including the player’s skill, maturity, and readiness for the older age group."
