I think Walz is what a Urban Liberal thinks a rural dem is... Walz is that weird English teacher you had in high school. Yeah he was in the country...but he was weird. That said how can they make his service an issue when the top of the republican ticket literally is a draft dodger!!!! I have more respect for someone who served...even if the 'quit' before being deployed than someone who just got off on daddy's dime. I really don't want to hear anyone question his 24 years of service...which was longer than the service of the top of the ticket! This is madness.
The Republican playbook is to denigrate anyone with military service. Think back to what Republicans did to John Kerry, who had a very distinguished record as a swift boat captain in Vietnam. Meanwhile, Bush, Cheney, and Trump all used their wealth and connections to get out of Vietnam. And Republicans are fine with that. And Republicans continue to mock gold star families. They call those that died in WWII losers. They despise POWs like John McCain. And now their thing is to paint soldiers as a bunch of ethnic, blue-haired trannies. The GOP despises the military and everyone should remember that.
+1. I can’t believe they’re trying to swift boat yet another vet when their draft-dodging candidate famously said avoiding STDs was his “”personal Vietnam.”
