Good Lord. What are y'all rambling on about? This thread isn't even remotely related to the age change anymore.
The rae worshiping 2nd string boys parents think if they group up enough ulittle leagues that MLSN will change from BY to SY.
Let me guess you have an average Q1 kid….
RAE is real. But its impact is overstated. At younger ages it accounts for about 10% change in distribution. By U15 it’s less than 6%. Stop looking for excuses, and external “reasons.” Your kid just needs to be motivated and do the work.
Not the person who’s been doing the back and forth just hopping in. I have a December daughter who plays ECNL is middle of the pack for her team we scrimmage against the ECNL team age group below frequently. Rankings wise for the age group below they are the better team and made it to round of 16 at nationals we did not. My daughter looks like a whole different kid playing against them compared to her own age group. RAE obviously plays a role when we compare ECNL players or strong GA amongst themselves. The new age group line will make a difference in my opinion. Will it make a Aug to December kid who don’t work hard move up no it will not. Will it allow girls currently playing high level youth soccer to showcase better as players yes it will. Tryouts are going to be crazy next spring because “most” ECNL teams will see at least 50% turnover if not more. In my opinion but we will see. Going to be a mad house either way.
That has nothing to do with age at the ECNL level. They have tryouts right? What you’re saying is your DD is better against worse teams. Totally OK. That is all competition. The opponent matters.
How does that not have to do with age? When a ECNL player is going against younger ECNL competition they preform better. Also I’m pretty sure they said the age group below is ECNL and higher ranked. Are you saying any team in an age group below is worse? That would mean RAE IS a big deal because everyone who’s older would be better.
