Just let the Blake bot marinate in her own delusions for a few more months. She doesn’t understand the difference between salary and market rate professional fees, or sexual harassment and normal workplace disputes. On an entirely different note, it’s hysterical that Blake has sealed all her own deposition testimony. That can’t stand for long as she is the plaintiff.
Or the decision to keep it sealed until late December was tactical. They of course know it will be unsealed, it's just a matter of when. By waiting to unseal it, they get this stuff about Clair Ayoub, Jenny Slate, and Alex Saks to trickle out into the press for a couple months first. Then Blake's depo is unsealed and it corroborates and re-affirms the things those other women have said about Baldoni and Heath and the experience on the set. The NYT article was also released just before Christmas, and that worked in Blake's favor (knowing Wayfarer was going to hit back very hard, which they did, but not until a week or two later) in terms of ensuring lots of people saw it and had opportunities to talk about it and her version of events before Baldoni's side could put something together. Perhaps their goal is a similar press cycle this year, with Blake's depo being unsealed right before Christmas and giving her about a week of press coverage focused on the details in her depo which will necessarily be her version of events. I think a lot of Baldoni supporters assume Blake's deposition will be bad for her, but I think it will be a mix. I'm sure there will be some phrasings and explanations that make her look bad, but I also assume she was very well prepared and that her depo will introduce a lot of her contemporaneous emails and texts that will back up her version of events and look bad for Wayfarer. I would actually assume the release of Blake's depo is going to be a bad news cycle or two for Wayfarer, and that Blake's team is seeking to time it's release so that it's the ONLY thing people are hearing about during that time. Especially now that the trial has been pushed back, because it's their next best opportunity to get Blake's version of events out in front of people.
You can’t compare the press cycle last Christmas to this one. This case and the New York Times article was shocking for sure. This Christmas will be over a year and most people are really tired of this. It has not been good publicity for Blake and Ryan. They continue to lose followers, their social media engagement numbers are abysmal in part because they are forced to limit comments and their lighthearted banter is just down because they are reading the room and involved in a serious court case. Blake’s acting career is stagnant and Ryan has lost roles. Blake isn’t making the rounds with Taylor anymore. The Christmas news cycle will not change things significantly.
The Baldoni sickophants in here don’t seem to actually care about the legal issues in the case, but rather dumb stuff that a PR agency would care about like how many followers someone lost or how their social media is doing. Heads up: real people don’t care about that ish. Hope that helps you sound more like an actual human being instead of a plant.
The general public largely is not following this case and is an annoyed by the headlines about it. You can click on any comments from the mainstream media like people or us magazine, and see that sentiment. But you are delusional if you don’t think social media counts and getting roles are not important to Blake and Ryan. This case so fascinating because they created their own never ending PR scandal. The botched marketing and bad past interviews and other things would have died down over a few months and by spring of 2025 people would have focused on Blake lively’s huge box office success and we would be spotting her in the Chiefs box with Taylor and wedding planning with her. Lots of good PR which if you’re trying to sell hair products and booze and the like. Which trust me, they are. Instead, we have this.
This is fair but I think it's also true of the Baldoni side. People would have speculated about him being unfollowed and not being seen on the red carpet with Blake, but it also would have died down if they hadn't escalated. I know a lot of the behaviors are more "uncomfortable" than "SH" but he has literally built his career around being a male feminist and Wayfarer has built its reputation for being socially conscious, so this must matter to him, a lot.
