This was discussed up thread. In an interview her mom said the family was not paying and that Brazil had not offered any help. Since she has a private attorney, not a public defender, it seems overwhelmingly likely that Banfield is paying. Of course, her case going well also benefits his legal interests. Her lawyer has been mentioned in the press and is listed on the VA docket page, Ryan Campbell. He appears to be an experienced and well regarded criminal defense attorney. [/quote]
